Although we finally know the cause of Cory Monteith's death, it doesn't make dealing with the devastating loss any easier. There are still so many unanswered questions, for example.
One of the biggest questions following the news of Cory's overdose is whether or not girlfriend Lea Michele knew he relapsed.
A source tells Us Weekly, "Lea has been inconsolable" following his death and she "didn't know" about Cory's heroin relapse.
As outsiders, it's hard to understand how Cory could have kept his heroin abuse a secret.
Cory was reportedly cremated yesterday in Vancouver following a private viewing. His father, Joe Monteith, was not invited.
Joe told TMZ.com that he is "totally devastated" that he could not attend, saying, "I always loved both my sons and am going to miss Cory very, very much."
He added, "I'm saddened at the fact that I couldn't have been there to see my son before he was cremated."
Cory and his dad were estranged for many years following Joe and Cory's mom's divorce when the Glee star was seven.
Cory told Parade magazine in 2011 that he and his dad had recently reconnected, explaining, "I couldn't shut the door, so I got on a plane...At some point, you realize your parents are human. They make the best decisions they can with the options available to them."
