What's it like for Demi Lovato to be nominated for a 2013 VMA along with pals Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez?

In a new interview with MTV News, Demi commented, ''I'm so excited for Selena, I'm so excited for Miley," as she explained their history as friends.

She added that it's hard not to get competitive, however, explaining, "I get competitive as much as I love them. I do get competitive so I have to focus on myself and just be like, 'It doesn't matter who has what.' We are all equally successful [in our careers] and in our lives. It's a huge blessing."

Demi's got love for every one of her peers, saying, "I'm so proud of everyone. I'm proud of the Jonas Brothers, I'm proud of Taylor."

The lovefest never ends, which we love...as Miley recently said she'd like to collaborate with Demi and Selena gushes about her former BFF regularly in interviews.

Sel told Yahoo! Canada that she leans on Demi and Taylor, noting: "She's [Demi] been telling me all the time about all of the songs. She'll text me and she's been really supportive and very sweet. I love that; I think it's great. We're friends so obviously in a way they would say, 'Well, the other one was better.'"

She continued, "I think that's why Demi, Taylor and myself are close. That's the unfortunate thing about music, is that it tends to be too competitive. I love everyone's music. I love Katy Perry's music, Rihanna's music and Demi's music. I feel like girls in general should just support each other. Girls should be girls and we all just want to be there for each other. That's never ever been an issue for me, Taylor or Demi."
