Kate Middleton and Prince William have finally decided on a name for their son, whom they welcomed on July 22. They have decided on George Alexander Louis. Kate Middleton and Prince William have often been called the "modern monarchs," so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that we learned the identity of their son (previously known as "the Royal baby") on Twitter.
According to the official Clarence House Twitter, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son George Alexander Louis."
In a follow-up tweet, they included his official title, saying, "The baby will be known as His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge."
Kate and William welcomed their son on July 22 and when they left the hospital on July 23, William said they were still deciding on a name.
His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge has already been a busy baby in his first two days of life. He's had many distinguished visitors and there were hundreds of reporters waiting to see him when he made his first public appearance outside the hospital the day after his birth.
Today, he is already out and about and left Kensington Palace earlier in the day to visit his maternal grandparents at their house in Buckleberry.
We're sure this is just the beginning of a very busy life for little George Alexander Louis!
