Demi Lovato talks about the new season of 'The X Factor,' explaining why she has raised the bar is is "very, very brutally honest." Is Demi planning to be mean like Simon Cowell? Plus, is there any X Factor drama with Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio? Demi Lovato is gearing up the new season of The X Factor--but can we expect her to be a tougher judge this go around?
With one season under her belt, and the ability to dish it out to Simon Cowell, Demi has shown that she can hold her own on the judging panel.
Now, she says, she's planning to step it up a notch.
What can Lovatics expect from Demi on X Factor?
She tells MTV News, "I've raised my bar, I put a lot of people through last year that had the overall package but didn't have the best voices."
In other words, she's getting a little tougher, as she explains, "And now I've raised the bar where I am not putting anyone through that I don't think has a winning vocal capability and so I say no to a lot of people."
She adds, "I may come across as a mean judge, but it's very matter of fact and I'm very, very brutally honest."
Whoa. Mean Demi?
As for those expecting some X Factor drama with new judges Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio, Demi says they all get along.
In fact, she says Kelly and Paulina are like "older sisters," noting that the panel is "like girl power and it brings a lighter energy to the show. Instead of having feuds on the panel, there's actually...It's all positive."
Well, except for Simon, we're guessing. Positivity isn't exactly his super power.
