How will 'Glee' handle Cory Monteith's death in season 5? New details are emerging about a tribute episode to Cory and his character, Finn Hudson. Find out what viewers might expect from the special episode.
Once Glee creator Ryan Murphy said that the third episode this season would be a tribute to Cory Monteith, who died earlier this month from a drug overdose, fans were eager to see how the show would handle his death.
New details have emerged to indicate that in addition to honoring Cory's character on the episode, there will be cast interviews to allow his co-stars to share their memories of the actor.
An inside source tells HollywoodLife.com, "The tribute show is being discussed and the details currently have it being the characters paying tribute to move the show along or a separate tribute talking about his best scenes and songs with sit-down interviews with the cast, talking about their favorite Cory memories."
The source added, "Currently a time jump isn't planned. They want [Finn's] death to be in the present, so it affects the characters immediately."
Ryan recently commented on the tribute episode, saying, "[It's] a very difficult episode to write," adding, "[It] has to be done very carefully and with a lot of taste and really making sure that it's a tribute to Cory."
