The troubled starlet is showing major improvement in the psych ward thanks to a combination of medications her doctors have prescribed. But will she be let out? Amanda Bynes is finally doing better!
The actress has been in an LA psych ward since July 22 on an involuntary hold after starting a fire in a random peron's driveway, and it seems the doctors have been able to help her.
The 27-year-old had been showing signs of schizophrenia and severe mental illness, but sources tell TMZ Amanda has stabilized, thanks to a combination of medications.
Amanda, who used to call everyone ugly and talk to herself, has become polite and calm in the past few days, TMZ reports.
The former actress has a hearing scheduled today at the psych ward to possibly reverse her 2 week mandatory hold. And while the fact that she's showing such improvement could help her case, doctors are supposedly confident she won't be let out yet because it hasn't been proven that the medicine cocktail will work long term and that she'd continue to take it.
Amanda's parents have filed for a conservatorship for their daughter. The next hearing is scheduled for August 9.
