In the middle of Newsroom's season two, John Gallagher took time out to share his thoughts about the show's cast, a possible love interest for his character Jim and why he wants Jim to have a social life. John Gallagher wants Jim to get a life.
The Newsroom star dished to us about his somewhat reclusive (work driven) character, saying he wants Jim to develop a "better set of social skills."
"I feel like he's really good at his job, but in his social and personal life, he doesn't really have a clue," John said. "I'd like him to get a clue."
Perhaps a love interest could shake things up?
John joked that perhaps Moses or Val Kilmer would make a good match.
As for the rest of the HBO series cast, John said he thinks his colleagues have a better grasp on the show's material this season.
"I think people have gotten into the groove of it," John said. "The first season was a lot of us as actors jumping into something that we'd never done before-trying to get comfortable, trying to get acclimated to learn how to speak the language of Aaron Sorkin."
"In the second season, everyone's a bit more comfortable and I feel like everyone has a better grasp on their characters."
The Newsroom airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on HBO.
