'Bachelor' Star Gia Allemand Committed Suicide by Hanging, Boyfriend Speaks Out

The 29-year-old Bachelor star died after hanging herself and was found by her NBA player boyfriend, says "all I have left is to cherish memories" More details are emerging about Bachelor starlet Gia Allemand's tragic death this week.

TMZ reports that the 29-year-old attempted to commit suicide by hanging herself Monday night, and was found by her boyfriend Ryan Anderson, who plays basketball for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Ryan called 911 and Gia was admitted to a New Orleans hospital in critical condition. On Wednesday, she was taken off life support.

"Gia was the most beautiful person I knew inside and out, and she always smiled and made everyone else smile," Ryan said in a statement. "She had such an amazing impact on my life and anyone that knew her was blessed. All I have left is to cherish those memories we made together and help perpetuate the many values, faith and love that we shared."

The couple, who took a romantic trip to Cabo in May, reportedly had a rocky relationship, according to TMZ.
