Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are both releasing new albums around the same time and with rumors swirling that they're feuding, Gaga sets the record straight. Lady Gaga and Katy Perry both released their new singles right around the same time and it seems that the coincidence has pitted their fan bases against each other.
While their fans may be feuding, Gaga wants the world to know that the two pop stars definitely are not.
In a new interview with Ryan Seacrest, Gaga explained, "I was really bothered by the media pitting me and Katy Perry against each other."
"I really like Katy Perry and I really like her fans," she said. "We both just happened to want to put our singles out within a week of each other and it's not necessarily convenient for everyone and maybe a little bit awkward, but we don't need to force feed this negativity."
Gaga even reached out to Katy on Twitter after both of them suffered from song leaks, saying, "Wanna grab some shovels and f--k up some hackers?"
Not wanting to leave Mother Monster hanging, Katy tweeted back and even showed support for her new single 'Applause,' writing, "@ladygaga what a WILD weekend so far... claws out, paws up! Looking forward to puttin my hands up & making them touch too!"
Sounds like there is nothing but love between these two pop divas!
