We were so excited to hear that Demi Lovato is returning to TV--and now details have emerged about her role on Glee.
It sounds like Demi's got a juicy part for flexing her acting chops, while showing off her amazing voice--a perfect pairing.
According to Glee co-star Naya Rivera, Demi will play a lesbian on this season of Glee, as a new love interest for Naya's character, Santana.
In an interview with E!, Naya said, "I'm excited. I'm so excited to work with her. We have a duet together, and we're going to be working very closely, so it'll be awesome.'
She told MTV, "She's playing my love interest so I'm very, very excited about that. We get to sing a song together...I'm excited to work with her. We're bringing her to the dark side."
Demi has been tweeting about the acting gig, writing, "Wayyyyy too excited to be starting @GLEE this week!!!!!!! Asjfkdjshdk"
She added, "I can't believe I'm going back to acting but the best part about it is that I get to act/sing with some of my really great friends.."
Naya also talked about shooting the Cory Monteith tribute episode, reportedly titled, "The Quarterback," saying it's been "terrible" for the cast and crew.
She told E!, "It's the worst thing that's ever happened to me. It is the hardest thing to do. It's been the worst week ever."
Darren Criss added, "We're shooting it right now. It's tough to shoot."
He added, "It's something that needs to happen for the fans. I don't know; it's going to be tough. But it will be very poignant and hopefully very moving, and just that: a tribute. Hopefully it will be a good tribute to Cory."
