OMG! Ian Somerhalder posted a photo of Nina Dobrev's Cosmopolitan cover on his Instagram, calling the shot "stunning." Check out how Nina responded when she saw the sweet post from her ex. Ian Somerhalder is still gushing over Nina Dobrev after their split.

The Vampire Diaries hottie posted a photo of Dobrev's September Cosmopolitan cover issue on his Instagram Monday, calling it "stunning" while he was at it.

"In a store this morning-who do I see?The one&only @ninadobrev These things are almost gone so If you haven't gotten this magazine off of a shelf-get one," Ian wrote. "One word: Stunning... Congrats Nina! Xo Ian."

Nina soon replied to his sweet post, tweeting, "Thank you Smouldy," with a retweet of his Instagram post.

Too sweet.

While there's no word on if the co-stars' exchange is an indication of a possible reconciliation, at least they're keeping their on-and-off set relationship cordial.

Ian and Nina called it quits in May after dating for over three years, with both keeping mum on the reason behind their break-up.

Following their split, Nina told Us Weekly in August she's not in a rush to get into another relationship, saying, "I've been a relationship girl and I've been in long-term relationships my whole life until this point, so I think I'm looking forward to spending some time with myself and finding myself again."

"I'm just discovering different sides of me and growing and then I'll figure out what I like in a man when I see it."

The actress went on to say she and Ian have no hard feelings towards each other post-break-up, adding, "It's all about finding out what meshes and what doesn't, and what you like and what you don't."

"Life is about experiences, so I guess I'm just figuring that out."
