Check out what the Vampire Diaries star had to say about not landing the role. Ian Somerhalder may think Christian Grey is "the man," but that doesn't mean he's upset he wasn't cast in the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey.
The Vampire Diaries star told Huffington Post Live, "I'm on a TV show that shoots 10 months a year...while I'm so unbelievably grateful for all the support and all the cheering and the love, that's going to be an interesting experience for me."
Following news that Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson had been cast as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, respectively, fans hit social media, blasting producers for their casting choices and naming Ian as one of the stars they should've nabbed to play Christian.
And there were even rumors Ian was miffed he wasn't cast in the film as well.
"It's so funny, you read these blogs-'Ian Somerhalder angry, livid he's not Christian Grey'-I mean, no, no, no, there's none of that," Ian continued.
So, did he even want the role in the first place?
Ian played coy when answering that question, saying, "That's a whole other conversation."
Now, that the buzz over the 50 Shades casting news has settled down, are you more happy with the casting choices? Or, do you still want to see two other actors in the roles?
