The song features rapper Big Sean, who recently popped the question to the 26-year-old Glee star--six months after they first met via Twitter.
"We started talking initially on Twitter and then we met up and had dinner and the rest is history," Naya told us.
As far as the song itself, Naya said the idea for it came from a popular Twitter hash tag.
"I was in a writing session and I was on Twitter talking with Jaden Michaels, who I co-write with, and I was looking at the hash tag "#sorrynotsorry," Naya said. "I was like this is really cool and relevant, and then I started to talk about what are the things that you would be not sorry for."
So, what is Naya #sorrynotsorry for?
"I watch every city of the Real Housewives," the brunette stunner said. "I love fake eyelashes. I also watch Teen Mom...that's a big one," she added with a laugh.
Naya's debut album is still in the works, and while she didn't mention if there would be more collaborations with her and her fiancé, the actress told us she's really "excited" and "proud" of her work on it so far.
"[I'm working] with a lot of great people and so I think you can expect it to be out next year and I think it will be a really good representation of where I'm at right now," she said.
