The "What About Love" singer is forced to postpone his entire MTV tour to next year after being hospitalized with a severe case of the flu UPDATE: His rep says Austin "was admitted to the hospital with a 104 temperature and is being treated for a blood clot and extreme inflammation in his throat, as well as extreme dehydration."

It's been a rough few days for Austin Mahone.

The 17-year-old singer was set to kick off his first headlining tour on Thursday, but instead got hospitalized with a severe case of the flu.

Originally, only the first two dates of his sold out tour got pushed back due to his illness, but now the entire thing is cancelled until next year.

"Hey Mahomies its @michelemahone," his Mom Tweeted from his account. "Austin is very ill. Unfortunately we are going to have to postpone the entire MTV Artist to Watch tour."

"Austin is very upset about this & we want to say we are sorry to the Mahomies & their parents who made arrangements to come out," she continued. "We feel very bad but we have no choice but to POSTPONE the tour for now. Thank you for your prayers #prayforaustin."

His tour will be rescheduled for 2014 instead. Austin, who previously opened for Taylor Swift, is very disappointed about the development.

"I can't believe this is happening," he Tweeted yesterday. "I'm so upset. I feel like I'm letting you all down."

We're sure his fans will understand his health comes first. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Austin!
