Why did the Jonas Brothers break up? According to a new report, an inside source says they each want to do different things. Find out why Kevin, Nick and Joe Jonas decided to split up.
While we're picking up the pieces of our broken hearts after the news of the Jonas Brothers breakup, let's dig a little deeper into why they called it quits.
There has been plenty of speculation about weak ticket sales and Joe having drug addiction issues, but a source tells E! News it all boils down to them each wanting different things.
At the heart of it, being part of a band just isn't in the cards anymore. Pass the tissues please.
The source tells E! News: "There are no personal issues. They just all wanted different things. They love each other. They always will."
Well, at least that's reassuring, right?
The insider added, "Joe wants to do acting and art and his own music," noting, "He's passionate and has his own set of goals."
Kevin, as you'd imagine, "wants to focus on being a dad," with the source explaining, "He can't wait for Danielle to have their baby. His priorities have changed."
We totally get it.
And Nick? Well, the insider notes, "Nick wants to focus on music and Broadway."
As for those Joe drug rumors that have been flying, the source says, "rumors about Joe having any substance abuse problems are totally false. He is fine and he's the sweetest kid ever."
At the end of the day, the insider explained, "They have different career aspirations now. They are not the same people they used to be."
Thankfully, they keep their family a priority, as the source said, "Family comes first which is why this was the best decision for them as brothers."
We can't say the break up news isn't still a disappointment though!
