The troubled starlet, who was first being held in a psych ward since June before being transferred to rehab, will be allowed to go home sometime next month Here's some happy news for Amanda Bynes: she'll be home for Christmas!
The former actress has been in a Malibu rehab facility since September, where she's reportedly getting treatment for a mental illness. She was previously being held in a psych ward on a mandatory 5150 psychiatric hold after starting a fire in a random person's driveway back in July.
TMZ reports that her medications and treatment have stabilized to the point where doctors will release her next month. Amanda will then go live with her mother, who's been granted temporary conservatorship of her troubled daughter.
One issue is that doctors believe Amanda is getting stir crazy being cooped up in the same place for so long. She supposedly can't go outside because the paparazzi are staking out the facility and they want to protect other patients' privacy and identities.
We're really glad to hear she's doing better and we hope that once she's released, the 27-year-old will start getting her life back on track!
