Jennifer Lopez is slamming rumors she went under the knife. Find out what happened that made the American Idol judge sound off on Twitter when she was accused of having plastic surgery. Jennifer Lopez is slamming claims she went under the knife.

The 44-year-old American Idol judge sounded off on Twitter after London-based Dr. Ayham Al-Ayoubi (a facial plastic and laser surgeon, according to his Twitter bio) after he tweeted out before and after photos of the singer and asked followers if it proved she had plastic surgery.

According to Hip Hollywood, he wrote, "She's known for her beauty, do these pictures prove @JLo has had #lipfillers like many stars enhancing their look?"

"These before and after pics of @JLo show many signs of #plasticsurgery - naturally pretty but now looks amazing," he went on, posting before and after photos of the singer.

Once J.Lo saw the tweet, she went off, tweeting back, "@DrAyoubi Sorry Sir, but I have never had plastic surgery of any kind. #fact."

The plastic surgeon has since deleted the tweet and apologized to J.Lo, blaming the incident on his assistant.

"Dear @JLo I wonder if you can accept my sincere apologies about the wrong tweet which was written by my assistant without my knowledge," he wrote.

"I sincerely apologise to @JLo & her fans. I want to remind everyone it was NOT me who sent that wrong tweet ! it was my assistant," he continued. "U are naturally a very beautiful woman and look great, sometimes clever makeup can enhance features slightly changing their appearance @JLo."

J.Lo too deleted her tweet to him and hasn't given him another response since.

Aside from slamming plastic surgery claims on Twitter, J. Lo revealed recently she had to stand up to body critics at the beginning of her career, telling Cosmopolitan for Latinas, "When I first started on television [as a Fly Girl on In Living Color], people, and even my own manager at the time, would tell me I had to make all of these changes. But you have to stand up and say, 'There's nothing wrong with me or my shape or who I am, you're the one with the problem!'"

"And when you can really believe that," she continued, "all of a sudden other people start believing too."
