While freedom is certainly a welcome change for the former reality star, things aren't exactly going to be easy.
Rather than just cut Amber loose and risk her running into trouble again, Amber will be watched very closely by a parole officer, who will be giving her random drug tests and making sure she finds employment.
"The parole officer will make sure she finds employment, is living in an appropriate situation, is not associating with any felons and that she is staying clean," a source revealed to RadarOnline.
Amber has a four-year-old daughter, Leah, who has been in the custody of her ex-boyfriend (and the child's father) Gary Shirley.
No word yet on what the new custody arrangement will be, but Amber didn't get to see Leah too much while she was in prison, so we're guessing those two have a lot of catching up to do.
Do you think Amber will be able to stay on the straight and narrow?
