2013 YouTube Music AwardsLady Gaga is just full of surprises lately!

The pop star has just signed on to become the first artist to perform in outer space, Us Weekly is reporting.

If all goes according to plan, Mother Monster will be blasting off on a Virgin Galactic ship in 2015 and will sing one song while she's in orbit.

Apparently, Gaga is undergoing special vocal training because singing in space is slightly different than simply singing on stage.

This could reveal the meaning behind her spacey new song "Venus," where Mother Monster sings "let's blast off to a new dimension."

Gaga will have her glam squad in tow for the space adventure, but in the event that she does meet up with any aliens up there, she would probably fit right in with the out-of-this-world styles she's been sporting lately.

What do you think of Gaga signing up to sing in space? Would you do it?
