Following their split in May, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have continued to prove they can still be cordial and give each other props.

After they were both nominated for People's Choice Awards Tuesday for their respective roles on the Vampire Diaries, the brunette beauty wasted no time congratulating her former love.

"I JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD NOMINATIONS!!! Thank you for voting and continuing to vote! So much love to you! #PCA #TVD," Nina posted on Instagram, followed by, "And a congrats shout out to @iansomerhalder for his nomination in the Best SciFi Actor category! Way to represent the male Vampires!Kill it!"

Ian recently gushed over Nina when he saw her Cosmopolitan cover in a store.

"In a store this morning-who do I see?The one&only @ninadobrev These things are almost gone so If you haven't gotten this magazine off of a shelf-get one," Ian posted on Instagram. "One word: Stunning... Congrats Nina! Xo Ian."

Nina soon replied to his sweet post, tweeting, "Thank you Smouldy," with a retweet of his Instagram post.

As for their People's Choice Nominations, Nina and Ian were nominated for Favorite On-Screen Chemistry, Nina was nominated for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actress, and Ian was nominated for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Actor.
