Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are changing it up a bit. The super star couple made a rare appearance on the red carpet together (!). Find out what the special occasion was for the duo.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are changing it up a bit.
Rather than pose separately on the red carpet (or not attend events together at all), the super star couple struck a pose with their arms around each other, along with Michael J. Fox and his wife Tracy Pollan at the annual A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson's event Saturday.
So, what was the special occasion?
Perhaps it was Ryan's own special connection to the event, considering his father suffers from Parkinson's disease as well.
The affair benefitted the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for the disease.
Although Blake didn't do interviews that evening, Ryan told the Hollywood Reporter he was impressed by the foundation's impact, regardless of his own connection to Parkinson's.
"You meet the people who work with this foundation, and so many of them have absolutely no affiliation with the disease whatsoever other than their job, and they were brought to it by a common denominator, which is Michael, and he's so inspiring and you just see the people that work with this foundation and how tirelessly they give everything they have to it and you start to forget that you're only here because someone you care about has Parkinson's," The Turbo star said. "I was really blown away by the whole operation."
