Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert had quite the cook-off to kick off her 30th birthday. Find out how the Voice judge helped his ladylove ring in her big day!
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert had quite the cook-off to kick off her 30th birthday.
When asked if he was planning to throw down in the kitchen for Thanksgiving, the Voice judge told us that whipping up a meal is one of his favorite things to do.
"I love to cook," Blake told us exclusively after The Voice live show Tuesday. "In fact, Miranda's birthday was this last weekend and it was just the two of us, but we cooked like there were 60 people. We were like let's make a cake, and let's make a casserole and let's make hamburgers."
"Half the stuff ended up going to the dogs, but we're constantly on the go and we don't have time to do something that simple and when we have a chance to do it, we go overboard, he continued.
Considering the feast the duo prepared for Miranda's birthday, we can't imagine what they have in store for Thanksgiving, especially since Blake told us it's his favorite holiday.
"Mostly because I love food," he quipped.
Following their food fest, Miranda tweeted a picture of what looked like a homemade birthday cake topped with candles Monday, and wrote, "Yes, I feel older. But smarter! @blakeshelton thanks for making my Bday awesome! I'm now 30 and a day. Fired Up!.
And she's looks gorgeous as well.
The singer made heads turn when she hit the carpet and showed off a slimmer figure at the Country Music Awards last week (where she won female vocalist of the year!).
Happy Birthday, indeed.
