Gaga has recently deviated from the norm and has pushed the boundaries of even her own eccentric style when it comes to her clothing, her interviews and perhaps most importantly, her music.
Unfortunately, it sounds like the new direction Gaga is going in was not what Troy, who has managed her since 2007, had in mind.
According to a new report by Page Six, Troy got stuck in the middle of a dispute between Mother Monster and her label, Interscope Records, when they felt her new album 'ARTPOP' didn't have any hits on it.
It is worth noting, however, that a rep for Interscope denied the claim, telling the site they are "thrilled" with the album.
Still, Troy is not the first from Lady Gaga's close circle to cut ties with the singer. Former friend Perez Hilton is now engaged in a very public feud with his former friend and Elton John, who picked Gaga as the Godmother for his two children, recently said that she is in "a dangerous place" because she is essentially surrounded by yes-men.
It does sound like saying "no" to Mother Monster is not an option...but, perhaps that's her prerogative as an artist.
Do you think Gaga has changed too much?
