Carrie Underwood recently revealed that she has gotten tons of hate tweets from people who are criticizing the fact that she got the epic 'Sound of Music' role.

"I get hate tweets and stuff like, 'You're not Julie Andrews!'" Carrie told Entertainment Weekly.

"I know I'm not Julie. Nobody is and I would never pretend that I was...I know my place."

"Fifty years later, it's time somebody had another crack at it. I had the best time of my life doing it and it did wonderful things for me," she told Zap2it.

"I think it's great that it's being done again, but doing it live must be so daunting."

Carrie will be starring in the new production with True Blood's Stephen Moyer. 'The Sound of Music' will air on Thursday, December 5 st 8 p.m. EST, only on NBC! Check out Carrie in the musical's full trailer here!
