James Franco was spotted cuddling up with a puppy as he filmed a scene for his upcoming film in Vancouver Saturday.

Although this shot looks calm enough, the actor, who stars in The Interview with Seth Rogen and Lizzy Caplan, was actually making a run for it with his "Bound" parody costar.

The particular scene they were filming is set in North Korea with soldiers and a 35-foot statue.

While James tries to hang on to the adorable pup, Seth is running right behind him, holding a bloody stump of a hand.

The comedic flick centers on an attractive talk show host and his producer who get caught up in an international assassination plot.

The Interview is set to be released Oct. 10
