Demi Lovato is reportedly leaving The X Factor to focus on music, according to a new report.

A source tells the site, "She plans to spend next year completely focused on her music," adding, "She had a great run and a good time."

Demi served as an X Factor judge for two seasons and proved to be a huge asset to the show--and an excellent counterpart to grumpy Simon Cowell.

We're sad to see her go, but love that she's taking the time to really focus on her love for music.

Demi kicks off her Neon Lights tour on February 9, which will include Cher Lloyd, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony.

Even without the X Factor gig, Demi will have plenty to keep her busy!

UPDATE: Simon Cowell confirmed that Demi will not return to the X Factor next season, telling E! News, "I always knew she wasn't coming back because she's touring, so I knew that."

Demi talked about what's next in her career, explaining, "I started the show being a singer and a musician, and so I'm going to go back to that."

She added, "It's been really great, but I'm so excited for 2014. I'm going to dedicate it completely and entirely to music--touring and making a new album. Possibly releasing one."

Simon also took to Twitter to clarify Demi's exit, writing: "To avoid speculation. Because of her tour next year it was unlikely she could do that and X factor."

He added a fond farewell to his pal, tweeting: "She and I have had our ups and downs but now consider her a true friend. The door will always be open. And thank you Demi. Simon.x"
