Now this is a collab we'd be excited for!
When Jesse McCartney gave us a ring to talk about his new EP In Technicolor Part 1, he also revealed who he'd like to work with next.
"I just saw her perform at the AMAs and she blew my mind!" Jesse told us about Ariana Grande. "I feel like I've been doing this for so long that it's really hard--my head doesn't turn easily. I saw her perform and I think she is maybe one of the most talented singers I've heard in the last decade." That's a powerful statement, but we agree with Jesse. "I think she's amazing and she's so beautiful, I just love her voice," he gushed. "I'm going to try to work with her at some point." Fingers crossed!
Jesse already has an impressive list of people he has worked with including One Republic's Ryan Tedder and Leona Lewis, but he still has a big To-Do list. "I'd like to start producing for other artists," the 26-year-old said. "I've been writing for quite a while and I'd like to continue, but I want to start producing vocals and having other artists trust me with their vocals."
Jesse recently helped Hot Chelle Rae with a few songs on their album. "I feel like it's something I'm really good at and it's just I don't have a lot of outlets other than my own vocals to show off that skill," he told us. "And eventually, maybe 10 years down the line, I'd also like to start writing and directing. Maybe even start with music videos."
Oh, the possibilities! We have a feeling 2014 is going to be a good year for Jesse.
