While there was a lot of uncertainty about the status of their relationship leading up to the filing, there was never any doubt that Khloe cared a lot about Lamar and was putting his well-being before anything else.
"This, in and of itself, is heart breaking and torture to my soul," Khloe tweeted shortly after she filed the papers.
Fortunately, the former couple is still on speaking terms and it sounds like things are amiable between them as there are obviously some logistical things they'll need to work out together, such as selling their Tarzana, CA home.
"Khloe and Lamar are still speaking on the phone. Not a lot but every so often," a source told E! News. "They are still working out some logistics and things are friendly between them. They will always have a deep affection for one another."
The site also reports that Lamar is doing well and that he's been training hard in an effort to get his NBA career back on track.
As for Khloe, her mom Kris Jenner recently told the site that she is staying busy and doing "good."
Sad situation, but it sounds like everyone is doing as well as could be expected.
