Tay's known to upset her Rhode Island neighbors every once in awhile and this time she's reportedly done it by building a sea wall at her house.
According to E! News, T-Swift is rebuilding and fixing up a sea wall on her Westerly, Rhode Island property after it sustained severely damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
While it seems like a simple project, locals are upset because they claim her construction is occurring on a public beach property without the right permits.
Laura Dwyer, a spokeswoman for the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council told The Westly Sun that proper permits were obtained for Taylor's home repairs on November 6. They were issued to her for repairs to a stone wall
"It all started during [Hurricane] Sandy...the wall sustained damage during Sandy," Laura told the paper.
"There must be access at all times [during construction]," she added.
"We made sure of that."
Well, at least it is clear that she is not doing anything wrong. She WAS just named Tennessean of the Year! Maybe her neighbors in Rhode Island should back off a bit? It could possibly help them out in the long run. What do you guys think?
