Chris Brown has turned down a plea deal that would charge him and his bodyguard with only one count of misdemeanor assault.

The "Singer" and Christopher Hollosy are facing misdemeanor assault charges stemming from an incident last October, in which the duo allegedly attacked a man with their fists outside of the W Hotel in Washington, D.C., according to police.

The man, identified as 20-year-old Isaac Adams Parker, told officers he tried to jump in a photo while Chris was posing with a female fan, and that's when the drama began.

Parker alleged that the R&B star said, "I'm not down with that gay s--t" and "I feel like boxing," and punched him in the face with a closed fist, according to CNN.

Chris's bodyguard soon jumped in--stepping between the pair and reportedly punching Parker in the face, before yanking Chris away and taking him to his tour bus.

CNN reported that because video surveillance from the incident still hasn't been entered into evidence and Chris's bodyguard is only facing one count of assault, lawyers for the pair rejected the plea deal for now.

Both sides will return to court Feb. 20. Prior to that, Chris is due back in court in California Feb. 10.

If Chris is convicted in Washington, he could face 180 days in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.

And this would not be a good thing for his legal issues in California, considering he's been on probation there since his 2009 brutal attack on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

According to the network, if charges are brought against him in D.C., it could influence the judge's decision on whether the singer will serve jail time after he completes rehab.
