What happened when Macklemore and Ryan Lewis hopped on a random New York City bus and started performing? Find out here. ABC's Coverage Of Talk about the ride of a lifetime.

Several bus riders got quite the surprise during their ride around New York City Wednesday, when Macklemore and Ryan Lewis randomly hopped on and performed their hit "Can't Hold Us."

Because it's not that out of the ordinary to see someone pop onto a subway or train in the Big Apple and start performing a song, the bus riders kind of just sat there at first looking like it was just another day in the city.

That was until they realized who had jumped on their bus (well, some of them at least), blasting a stereo, rapping and throwing around what appeared to be toilet paper sheets.

Soon, the whole bus was up on their feet, with even an elderly gentleman giving the duo his best dance moves.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis performed the stunt as a part of the Grammy Awards' "Music Unleashes Us" Campaign, according to the Huffington Post.

The pair, who's nominated for seven awards, will perform at the Grammys Jan. 26.
