The American Idol judge, who has claimed to be a non-smoker in the past, was spotted puffing away while sitting on a bench Tuesday, dressed down in gray sweatpants and silver sneaker boots.
So, what's the deal?
J.Lo's cigarette smoking was just for her upcoming movie, Lila and Eve, in which she plays a grieving mother.
The 44-year-old "Hit the Floor" crooner, who is filming the drama in Atlanta, teams up with Viola Davis for the film, who both play parents whose sons have been gunned down in a drive-by shooting, according to the Daily Mail.
In the wake of those tragedies, the duo ends up teaming up to avenge their kids' death after authorities fail to get them justice.
In addition to her cigarette habit, J.Lo also is sporting a shorter cut in the flick--a bob hair cut that appears to just be a wig.
This is just the latest project for the triple-threat star, who has been going from gig to gig for months.
On the heels of her killer American Music Awards performance, the mom-of-two got back to her judging duties on American Idol, launched her own Barbie collection, and shot another film, thriller The Boy Next Door.
