What's a girl to do when she can't participate in the Winter Olympics in Sochi due to an injury?

Walk in New York Fashion Week instead for a great cause, if you're Lindsey Vonn!

The Olympic gold medal winning athlete was supposed to be in Russia last night preparing to compete in downhill skiing, but was forced to withdraw from the Winter Games after re-tearing her ACL.

But she's not letting it get her down. Lindsey walked the catwalk with her crutches and all at the Go Red for Women/Heart Truth Red Dress collection show Thursday evening and received a standing ovation from the crowd.

The annual fashion show features celebrities modeling red dresses to raise awareness of heart disease, the number one killer of women.

"When I had surgery, then it opened the door for other opportunities," Tiger Woods' girlfriend told the New York Post. "I think [women's heart disease] is something that deserves more attention. I'm happy to be part of the event."

Lindsey modeled a gown by Cynthia Rowley, and worked the catwalk along with stars such as AnnaSophia Robb, Victoria Justice and Kat Graham.

Way to go, girl!
