When Justin Bieber got into legal trouble last month, a lot of people pointed their fingers at his parents, Jeremy Bieber and Pattie Mallette.

When ABC News recently asked the Mom-in-Chief herself, Michelle Obama, about Bieber's recent troubles, she had nothing but words of encouragement and guidance for his parents.

"I would pull him close. You know, I don't know if it would be advice as much as action," the First Lady said during an interview.

"I would be very present in his life right now. And I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what's going on in his head, to figure out who's in his life and who's not."

"I found that to be the case with my kids," she said of her two daughters, 12-year-old Sasha and 15-year-old Malia.

"They just want you near, you know--they want that advice from a parent. They want to see you on a daily basis, because the thing is he's still a kid. He's still growing up. So, I would pull him close," she continued.

Justin was arrested last month in Miami for DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an invalid license. His father was reportedly at the scene of the arrest and was a participant in Justin's partying the night he was a taken into custody. The pop star's father, mother, Usher, Scooter Braun and his rumored girlfriend Chantel Jeffries rushed to Panama for a "Save Justin retreat" days after his arrest in Florida.

What do you think about MIchelle's advice to JB's parents? Are they (ahem, Mr. Biebs) responsible for Justin's actions? Chime in.
