Perhaps Robert Pattinson should've thought about this before signing up for Twilight.

The 27-year-old thesp "doesn't want to be famous anymore," his friend reportedly told RadarOnline, and hopes to move to a career behind the camera.

The reason for this?

Apparently, Rob is getting tired of his millions of fans constantly swooning over him, with the source adding, "The cost of fame is the thing he and Kristen used to complain about all day and that hasn't changed at all for him."

The star is supposedly even considering going to theater school so he can focus on more behind-the-scenes work.

"Rob's been talking to a lot of independent filmmakers, and the last thing he wants to do is act in another blockbuster. He would like to direct a movie one day," his pal continued.

What do you think about this Twihards?
