Now Jennifer Lawrence is being enlisted to help convince fellow actresses to sign on for major movie franchises, like Shailene Woodley who stars in the Divergent trilogy, which many people are touting as the next Hunger Games. The Lionsgate co-president asked J. Law to reach out to Shailene and sell her on taking the role, and no surprise: she closed the deal.
In a series of emails, Jen urged Shailene to say yes, writing: "You must do it. You will not regret it for a second. Yes, there are some hard things, but there are so many beautiful things that will come from an opportunity like this." Later that afternoon, lo and behold; Shailene got on board.
So yeah, obviously, there's no competition between these leading ladies. And if you need more evidence, check out Shailene's amazing answer to the question posed of which kick-butt female would win in a battle: her character, Tris, or J. Law's character Katniss Everdeen. "If my character and Katniss from The Hunger Games battled it out? I don't feel like they would actually battle," Divergent hits theaters on March 21.
