Let's be real--this is hardly the first time something on Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been accused of being fake, fans somehow felt slightly more betrayed when they found out the house they show on TV isn't the family's actual home.
The house we're supposed to think is their home (you know, because it says "Jenner home" when they flash the photo across the screen) is actually someone else's house and they have now put it on the market, which means the Kardashians are going to have to fake pack up and find a new fake home, for which someone will hopefully send them a housewarming (fake) plant.
For whatever reason, people totally freaked out when they found out about the fake house and it got so intense that Kim Kardashian finally had to speak out and defend the family's fakery. During a Q&A with fans on her Mobio Insider page, someone who obviously still hadn't come to terms with the sneaky sitch asked Kim if it was really true about the house being fake.
"My old home in Beverly Hills was really my home & I would get people showing up at all hours ringing my gate & had to call the police on several occasions," she responded. "People hoping the gate & scaring me. It was so unsafe. The hollywood star tours would stop by too, bc they recognized my home from our show. After that we realized how unsafe it is to show the exterior of our homes. So now we use different homes for the outside for security purposes. When we film inside, that's obviously our real home."
That actually makes a lot of sense. There was sheer chaos outside of the Osbourne's house on a daily basis during their reality show heyday and that doesn't even include the stuff they were doing (anyone remember Sharon throwing that ham?)
Anyway, (and we don't say this a lot, so savor the moment) we see Kim's point. If you're jonesing to see some real celeb homes that they actually live in, click through the gallery below.
