Little Miss Sunshine has taken a dark turn.

Abigail Breslin has already proven to us that she's all grown up, but now the 17-year-old actress is taking on the thriller genre, starring in a film about two sisters who snap after continuing to deal with an alcoholic mother an abusive stepfather.

Georgie Henley, who co-stars in the film as Abigail's sister helps plot to kill their drug-addicted mom (Mira Sorvino), and make it look like an accident. The even creeper part about the plot of the flick, Perfect Sisters, is that it's based on the true story of Toronto's "Bathtub Girls" according to Coming-soon.net. The film tells the tale of sisters Sandra and Beth who almost get away with murder after recruiting their classmates to help them plan their deed.

Perfect Sisters is set to be released April 11 in limited release in New York and Los Angeles April 11. See the full trailer in the clip above.
