Justin Bieber got some new ink on Friday and it's causing some controversy. The singer didn't get a naked tattoo of Selena Gomez or anything, but a pic inspired by British street artist Banksy.

The Biebs' new tattoo is of a little girl reaching for a red, heart-shaped balloon on his forearm. It was inspired by one of Banky's most well-known pieces of work.

Justin explained the tat's significance to him, captioning the image, "Don't let you dreams float away." While we thought it looked pretty cool, the street artist and his fans apparently aren't feeling it.

Banksy fan Tara Anderson dissed the Biebs telling the UK's Daily Mail, "The balloon is slowly floating away just like his musical career." Another Banksy fan hilariously wrote, "The fall of Banksy has just begun. SUE HIM PLEASE!"

It seems like Banksy was not at all amused by the singer's adaptation of his work either. A Facebook page claiming to be tied to the artist responded by posting a pic of the singer with his new ink, tagging the Biebs, and captioning it simply, "Controversial." Hmm, WTF does that mean?

Check out Bieber's new ink job above. Think it's swaggy?
