Hunter Hayes is trying to beat Jay Z. No, really.

The adorable country singer is trying to grab a Guinness World Record previously held by The Flaming Lips and Jay Z. According to a new press release, Hunter will be trying to break the record for most concerts played in 24 hours, in multiple cities.

The record is currently being held by the Flaming Lips, who played eight shows in 24 hours. Before that, Beyonce's hubby held the record. Hunter is doing even more than eight shows and has 10 shows scheduled during a 24-hour period. He's doing the shows for a good cause too, teaming up with ConAgra Foods to fight child hunger.

Hunter's record attempt begins on Good Morning America in New York City at 8AM on May 9. He'll then travel down the east coast, finishing at 5AM in Philadelphia, Pa. Check out the rest of his record-breaking dates below.
