Well those pesky Westboro Baptist Church protesters have messed with the wrong gal--singer Lorde knows how to give it back to the group now famous for crashing many musician's shows to set up shop and picket.

She could have ignored the haters, but instead asked the crowd that will be attending Friday's Kansas City show to kiss the protesters. Yeah, that would make them feel pretty uncomfortable. Well played, Lorde.

Lorde tweeted: "hahaha omg just found out westboro baptist church are going to picket my show in kansas city," adding, "Everyone wear rainbow clothing to that show...try to kiss church members who are same sex as you. They will so love it. Christmas comin early in kansas city."

She later deleted the tweets, likely to prevent anyone at the show being in a potentially dangerous situation. Better to play it safe. These WBC protesters usually don't have much of an impact anyway.

And check out what WBC wrote on their website about the singer: "New Zealand came forth with a young lassie that doesn't have enough sense to put in a thimble. Now the world has elevated her to the status of an idol. Then the world began to weigh in. They think this and that and blah, blah, barf."
