Pharrell has landed himself a new gig.

The hat-loving, singer-producer is heading to the Voice for season 7 of the show to serve as a coach, where he will officially replace Cee Lo Green, the show announced Monday via Twitter. Pharrell already appeared on the show as a mentor for Team Usher during battle rounds in season four, but this time he'll be taking it all on on his own.

Before revealing the new judge, The Voice's Twitter teased fans by posting pics of his skateboard and a hint that the new coach is definitely "not sad" i.e. "happy"-among other things. Which begs the question, will he finally be over that hat when he hits the show? He's already worn it everywhere from the Grammys to the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards just last Saturday.

Tall hat aside, Pharrell seems to be really excited to take his seat in the show's famed judge's seat, tweeting, "This is going to be so fun," he tweeted, after "@NBCTheVoice tweeted, "Okay, we can OFFICIALLY say it! WE ARE SO #HAPPY to announce PHARRELL WILLIAMS = #NewVoiceCoach."
