After all, Jennette said she was "put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation" and the reason she missed the event had "to do with how nickelodeon treated me." What does that mean?
Believe us, there are plenty of theories flying around, with some believing the KCA for favorite TV actress was given to her co-star Ariana Grande over Jennette because of the racy pics that leaked online (for the record, they weren't that racy, but whatevs).
And then, there's speculation about just what's going on with Sam & Cat, which has jam packed so many episodes into a season (40!), many wonder if there's some mistreatment involved there. Oh, and also, what is the future of the show even?
Will this disagreement (Feud? We're not sure) between Nickelodeon and Jennette result in cancellation? Is anything going on with her and Ariana? She did unfollow Ari on Twitter, so that must factor into all of this somehow.
Deadline.com reports that there's plenty of "behind-the-scenes drama," noting: "There has been talk about discord on the set, with emotions running high and McCurdy and Grande sometimes showing up late. The grueling 40-episode shoot has been taxing on everyone. Additionally, McCurdy had been going through a difficult time in her personal life for the past six months and recently had to deal with the leak of racy photos, while Grande's music career has taken off big time."
The report adds that "word is both feel constrained at kids-focused Nickelodeon and are ready to move on."
Nick released as much of a no-comment statement as you'd expect: "We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of Sam & Cat, and everyone is understandably tired. We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest."
