According to CNN, police in Kent, England, issued a statement saying a 25-year-oold woman was pronounced dead after medics were called to her home near Wrotham. The circumstances around the socialite's "unexplained and sudden death" are not yet known.
Peaches' father, Irish musician and Live Aid organizer Bob Geldof, said in a statement his family is "beyond pain," adding, "She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever."
To make this story even sadder, Peaches was a married mother of two. She had two sons-Astala, 20 months and Phaedra, 10 months. "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day," her husband Tom Cohen said in a statement. "We shall love her forever."
Peaches, who hosted the show "OMG! Totally Peaches" on Britain's ITV channel, had many celebrity friends and acquaintances including Lorde. Upon hearing of her death, the "Royals" crooner tweeted, "you were a sparkling, lovely person who showed me such kindness. rest easy, peaches."
Among others, Lily Allen also chimed in, tweeting, "My thoughts are with Peaches' family at this awful time. I hope they get to grieve in peace. Peaches, rest in peace gorgeous girl."
