Rumors that the American Idol judge had passed away started on Twitter Monday when the hash tag #RIPJenniferLopez started trending nationwide, causing her fans to lose it.
Thankfully, it was just a fluke, making J.Lo the latest victim of a celebrity death hoax.
Usher, Hugh Hefner and One Direction's Zayn Malik are just a few of the many celebs who have also experienced a faux death by Twitter, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson getting killed off via hashtag just a couple of weeks ago.
Although J.Lo still has yet to address the hashtag, she did give fans a big hint that the news wasn't true when she tweeted photos of herself Monday afternoon at the GLAAD Awards and hanging out with friends at another event. Stranger things have happened, but tweeting and Instagramming is a tough thing to do when you're no longer with us.
