In this edition of Oprah Winfrey can make just about anyone cry, Pharrell let his waterworks flow when he appeared on her OWN show "Oprah Prime."
The multitalented singer-producer was so overcome with emotion when Oprah played a compilation of videos from around the world of fans dancing and singing to "Happy," that he wept. "Why am I crying on Oprah," he said, after pulling himself together. "It's overwhelming because I love what I do and I just appreciate the fact that people have believed in me for so long that I could make it to this point."
"It's being used for something greater than yourself. I really get that," Oprah replied. "I so now get why it's so infectious, because it came from such a clear space that the energy was absolutely uninterrupted by anything other than allowing it to flow from heart to heart."
Pharrell, who once again was wearing that Vivienne Westwood hat, has already had a huge year (and it's only April!). After nabbing Producer of the Year among many other Grammy Awards, he went on to rack up an Oscar nomination for "Happy," performed on Saturday Night Live a couple of weeks ago and recently announced that he would be the new judge on The Voice when season seven hits.
