The American Idol judge revealed she has adopted the diet, cutting out all animal products to stay in shape. "Being vegan, it's basically no diary, no meat, everything is plant based and from the ground. Butter is the one thing I miss!," she told Z100.
J.Lo said following the diet makes her feel good and she encourages others to try it too. "You do feel better. I do recommend the vegan diet because you wake up and feel great!," she added.
Beyoncé also follows the diet from time to time. Earlier this year, she and her hubby Jay Z went vegan for 22 days.
Vegans do not eat meat, fish or poultry or animal products of any kind. That means no eggs, cheese, ice cream, etc. either. Instead, they opt for diets with plenty of leafy greens, grains, beans, legumes and vegetables.
