America Ferrera wasn't the only star in for a surprise at Cannes this year.

Ryan Reynolds got one too when his film The Captive wasn't exactly received well at the film festival, according to Variety, which reported that the film "was greeted with a smattering of boos" during the screening Friday.

Yikes!

According to Us Weekly, Ryan skipped the film's after party, reportedly opting instead for a "low-key, late-night snack" at Hotel Martinez terrace restaurant around 1 a.m. with his wife Blake Lively. A source told the mag the former Gossip Girl star looked like she was trying to cheer him up by rubbing his arm, consoling him and whispering in his ear. "At one point, Ryan smiled...and leaned into her for a kiss on the lips," the source said.

Booing and bad screening aside, Blake and Ryan stunned on the red carpet before the premiere, with the blonde bombshell rocking a strapless black and white Gucci Première gown and Ryan looking dapper in a coordinating Gucci black tux and white collar shirt and white bow tie.
