The Turbo star revealed the duo had to cut their vacay short at the time and jet away to a much chillier destination so he could shoot his latest project The Captive, according to E! Online.
"I dragged my wife from our honeymoon in Africa and landed her in Ontario, Canada, when it was minus-40 degrees," Ryan reportedly said Friday at the film's Cannes Film Festival press conference.
They stayed there for a month, he continued, adding they had to camp out in "this little roadside hotel...that was the biggest challenge." In spite of their not so desirable digs, Blake was a trooper, with Ryan saying, "Ironically, she coped with it far better than I did."
Unfortunately, that sacrifice hasn't paid off that well just yet. The film, which centers on a 37-year-old father suspected of kidnapping his daughter, has been littered with bad reviews. It was booed during the screening Friday, for example, and Ryan skipped the afterparty, opting to grab a late night bite with his wife instead.
Bad reviews and screenings aside, the duo looked amazing on the red carpet before the premiere, with the blonde bombshell rocking a strapless black and white Gucci Première gown and Ryan looking dapper in a coordinating Gucci black tux and white collar shirt and white bow tie.
