Taylor Swift was just forced to pull a Miley Cyrus and cancel an upcoming show in Thailand, and it's not because of an illness. The singer canceled her sold-out concert because of political unrest currently going down in the country.

Concert promoter BEC-Tero announced Tuesday on its website that Taylor's concert was canceled "due to recent events in Thailand." They didn't give up many details, but they called the move "a difficult decision for all parties."

The concert in Bangkok was set to go down on June 9. The country is currently under a nighttime curfew and dealing with total media shutdown. There have been tons of dangerous protests. Even though safety always comes first, Taylor wasn't happy about letting her fans down.

"I'm sending my love to the fans in Thailand," she tweeted. "I'm so sad about the concert being canceled."

Several other international performers have reportedly canceled or postponed appearances in Thailand during the recent months of political problems. To find out more about what's going on there, click here.
